AREAS |
| Children's
play areas can be found all over Athens in practically
every neighbourhood. Most are run on the same lines: you
pay an entrance fee of approx €5 per child
(accompanying parents no charge) for which the child is
allowed to play for an unlimited time and given juice to
drink, the parent is only charged for refreshments
served. Following the implementation of the new
no-smoking laws in October 2002, smoking is no longer
allowed in these centres. Most of the centres are well
run, clean and safe. They cater for children up until 7/
8 years of age and are very useful on rainy days or if
you live in an apartment and do not have a garden for
the children to play in. If your child has a birthday,
these play areas can also be hired for his/her party. It
would be impossible to list every indoor play area in
Athens but we would be happy to provide you with the

| BALLOONS
Central office: Indoor
children's play areas with soft play and inflatable toys
such as bouncy castles. Balloons organises and caters
for children's parties on their premises. Inflatable
toys can also be rented for children's parties,
christenings or weddings in your own home or at another
location such as a hotel. Arrangements can be made for
caterers, animators (magicians, clowns etc), balloon
decoration, table and chair hire. Balloons are located
in all areas in Athens and the suburbs. |

SMARTPLAY
TEAM
Trained and experienced English native speakers offer
creative play for children aged from 2-8 years. The
programme includes art and crafts, simple projects,
puppetry, interactive stories, role-plays, songs and
rhymes and many other games. The programmes are either
carried out one to one or in small groups of 3 - 4 in
private homes. Playgroups are being formed for the
