MUSEUM: Kidathinaion 14,
Plaka. Museum dedicated to children, hands on displays
allow children to explore, think, experiment and create.
In the attic there is a reconstruction of a room from an
old Athenian house complete with antiques, radio and
heater. It is called the ''grandmother and grandfather
room'' and in it children can dress up in period
costume. A replica of a work site from the new metro
allows children to venture into a tunnel. The museum
also has a library and playground and runs special
programmes and events (phone for details as booking may
