| When
you rent a property in Greece you will need to connect
your electricity (if the Landlord does not wish to
retain the bills in his own name) and to have a
telephone line connected.
Telephone:
ISDN lines are now readily available in Greece. Most
properties are wired to have two separate lines
connected but it is worth inquiring with the owners if
you need a second line and the property you are
considering is old. When you install a telephone line in
Greece, you pay a fixed charge the amount for which
depends on whether it is an ISDN or ordinary line. New
telephone applications can be made, either at the
central office for your area or over the phone.

Water:
Most property owners do not cut off the water supply
between tenants but, should this have been done, you
should go to the EYDAP office in your area to submit an
