Three seminars on developing production plans for television and more specifically for TV feature series, are organized by the MEDIA Plus Program of the European Union, at the idyllic resort of Sitges (twenty kilometres from Barcelona). The seminars make part of the extensive training initiative of PILOTS and last one week each (March 28-April 3, June 13-19 and October 24-30). Those interested in attending should apply the latest three weeks before the beginning of each seminar (March 6, June 22 and October 2 respectively).

What makes PILOTS special is the personalised attention that each participating team has from its tutor and from the specialists, the opportunity to dedicate extra time to writing and to have personal follow-up with tutors after the course, the availability of viewing materials in the videotheque and library, and of previewing programmes and films at the Hotel which will be referred to in the following day's lecture, the chance to meet other participants from different countries and of sharing ideas informally with them during breaks as well as with tutors and specialists.

PILOTS Workshops are for professionals in the audio-visual industry. Scriptwriters can participate alone but, in order to increase their project's quality and commercial potential, PILOTS encourages the formation of teams of professionals (ideally: producer, script editor and writer). Teams can consist of 1 to 6 members. Usually, PILOTS selects ten teams per workshop. Observers, without a specific project or team, are also welcome at PILOTS.

The deadlines for submitting applications are three weeks before the start of each workshop, as indicated by the post office seal or the email sent.
